Application Instructions

Please review the Service Provider Application Instructions before submitting an application.

Do not hit your browser's back button or exit out of your Internet browser until you have completed the application; doing so will create an incomplete application in our system. Please have the following information available prior to beginning:

  • Company Information: Mailing Address, Contact Phone, Contact Email
  • Company Type: Contractor, Distributor, Engineering/Design/Architectural Firm, Other
  • Services Offered or Equipment Sold: Lighting, HVAC, Variable Frequency Drives, Commercial Refrigeration, Commercial Kitchen, Appliances/Plug Load Equipment, Other
  • Service Provider Directory Information: Company Information, Website, Sales Contact Information
  • Attendance at an Energy Solutions for Business – Program Training for Service Providers session, if interested in becoming listed on the Service Provider Directory
  • Required licenses and insurance for Energy Solutions for Business Service Providers (for more information see Requirements for Service Providers and Sample Licenses and Certificate of Insurance)

Large Building Tune-up Service Providers also have to provide the following:

  • Commissioning Certifications from one of the following organizations:
    • Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP): Building Commissioning Association (BCA)
    • Certified Commissioning Provider: Associated Air Balancing Council Commissioning Group (ACG)
    • Accredited Commissioning Process Provider: University of Wisconsin at Madison (UWM)
    • Systems Commissioning Administrator: National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB)
    • Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP®): Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
  • Or Two References: Contact, Mailing Address, Phone, Email (if missing commissioning certificate from one of the organizations listed above)
  • Attendance at a Building Tune-up Program Training for Service Providers

Complete Building Tune-Up Service Provider project submissions are comprised of:

  • Service Provider Application
  • Certificate of Insurance
  • Certificate of Good Standing
Please notify all references that a representative from the BGE Smart Energy Savers Program will be contacting them shortly. Any delays in receiving reference responses will delay application approval.

Once this application is approved, attendance at an annual Building Tune-up Program Training for Service Providers is mandatory to maintain your company's status as a Large Building Tune-up Service Provider. Your company must also complete at least one Small or Large Building Tune-up project each year in order to maintain your company's status as a Building Tune-up Service Provider.
